I'm currently a Senior Web Application Developer at Kinsale Insurance, on the Enterprise Shared Services team. I help build the shared libraries, micro frontends and services that support development teams across the company.
Recent work includes a Notes Management micro frontend for our target-state Document Management System, and helping the organization evaluate AI-assisted development tooling like Claude Code.
I have over two decades of experience in all major stages of web development, from design and branding to front- and back-end engineering. I have built websites for all kinds of clients, from small boutique shops to large non-profits to Fortune 500 enterprise platforms. Below is a small sample of my work.
While my experience spans a wide variety of web-related disciplines including UX/UI design, Information Architecture, content management systems and cloud platforms, my deepest expertise is in front-end development and people leadership — I've led engineering teams as both a tech lead and engineering manager, and spent over a decade in leadership roles before transitioning into web development.
AI-assisted development. I use Claude and Claude Code daily across personal projects and at Kinsale, and I put a lot of thought into how these tools fit into a senior engineer's workflow. I believe they're best wielded in service to a skilled engineer's craft, not as a replacement for it.
